The Council Chamber
The Council Chamber (196 sq. m. of floor space). During the reign of King Stanislaus Augustus, the chamber hosted sessions of the Permanent Council – the first permanent government in Poland composed of the king and a few dozen senators and MPs. The room is furnished with the original throne and on the walls there are portraits of prominent members of the Four Year Sejm. The room is located between the Great Assembly Hall (Ballroom) and the Concert Hall.
